Notices

The library will send you notices about the status of your account. However, you are responsible for providing the library with your physical or your electronic addresses, and for maintaining these accounts. Notices are sent to you as a courtesy and your failure to receive a notice does not lessen your liability.
  • Courtesy notices
These notices are sent to library users who have included their email addresses on their library account. These are reminders that are automatically generated three days before your materials are due. They are not run over the weekend, however.
  • Overdue notices (1)
These notices are sent to you electronically or by mail three days after your materials are due. At this point you have not accrued any fines.
  • Overdue notices (2)
These notices are sent to you electronically or by mail 9 days after your materials are due. If you are receiving this notice by mail, you will owe fines by the time you receive it and bring the item to the library. If you receive this by email and return the book by the ninth day the item is overdue, you will stay within the grace period. However, if the book is not returned until the tenth day, you will owe $.30 per day going back to the day the book became overdue. Maximum fine per book is $10.50.
