Faculty not based on the Moscow campus can obtain their
borrowers cards online;
they will need to have their V-number to obtain the card. |
|
Proxy Cards |
|
UI faculty members who employ students to assist
them in their research are encouraged to obtain proxy cards for these employees.

Holds and Recalls |
|
Recalls are actions taken by a library user who
wants to borrow a book that is currently on loan to another borrower. When a
book is recalled, the current borrower is notified of the revised due date. The
current borrower must return the book by this date or suffer the consequences of
overdue fines. Faculty members are not exempt from the recall rules.
A hold
can be placed for a book that is on the shelf. Library staff will retrieve holds
during normal working hours and send them to your office through campus mail.
You can review the status of your hold requests by looking at your patron
record.
If you cannot find a book in the stacks, place a hold on the item. This will
notify the staff to search for the book.
