“Being a student worker at the library has been one of the best experiences of my college life”

Esther Buck, a treasured library student worker, was asked about her experiences at the university and in the library:

“I was born and raised in Sandpoint, Idaho.  Halfway through my junior year of high school I decided to go to college.  Although neither of my parents went to college, they always encouraged me to take that step.  I knew there was no way my family could afford to send me to college, but when I applied to the University of Idaho I was awarded enough financial aid to pay my way. Part of the financial aid package was work study, and I chose the library. Being a student worker at the library has been one of the best experiences of my college life.”

Esther was awarded a Vic and Margaret Ball internship in floriculture for spring semester 2009 and will graduate this year.
