SciFinder Scholar 2006 Now Available

A new version of SciFinder Scholar, a key research tool for locating information on a wide variety of chemical and science-related topics, is now available. SciFinder Scholar 2006 provides online access to information contained in databases produced by Chemical Abstracts Service covering scientific literature from 1907 to the present.

The 2006 version of SciFinder Scholar includes new features including:

  • Improved navigation
  • Structure similarity searching
  • New structure and reaction drawing tools
  • New quick look-up of research references

UI faculty, graduate students, and professional staff on the Moscow campus may install SciFinder client software on their desktop computers. To request the password needed to download SciFinder Scholar 2006 for Windows, please send an e-mail request to Bill Kerr. A Macintosh OSX version of SciFinder 2006 will be available later this year. SciFinder Scholar 2006 is currently accessible from the computer next to the Library’s Reference Desk.
