SciFinder Training Session scheduled for October 30

The University of Idaho Library will host a SciFinder training session on October 30 at 2:30 pm in the Library Classroom, Room 212A.  SciFinder  is a key research tool that provides access to a  comprehensive and authoritative source of references, substances, and reactions in chemistry and related sciences. The database is available to all UI students, staff, and faculty through the library website.

Dr. Kaushik Patel, Applications Specialist with Chemical Abstracts Service, will provide in-depth training, including structure searching and reaction searching. An informal drop-in session to answer individual questions about SciFinder will follow at 4:00 pm. Dr. Patel is also available for individual appointments with SciFinder users between 1:00 and 2:00 pm. For further information about SciFinder training, contact Nancy Sprague (nsprague@uidaho.edu).
