Periodicals Service Center
|
The Periodicals Service Center (PSC) maintains the magazine, journal,
newspaper and microform collections for the University of Idaho Library.
This includes maintaining and displaying:
- the most current issues of the journal titles carried by the library
- the collection of international, national, and Idaho newspapers
- a wide array of microfilm and microfiche.
All these resources are located on the library's second floor. The current
titles are arranged alphabetically on the diagonal wooden shelves at front,
whereas older issues are bound and shelved according to Library of Congress call
numbers.
Approximately 12 current periodical titles are at the Reserve Desk on the
first floor. The university's periodical holdings include an estimated 7,000 to
10,000 titles in all.
