University of Idaho Library and Web Research: Strategies for Success
The tutorial walks through the process of narrowing a topic, finding information and evaluating sources.  Both UI Library and Web sources are shown. There are five sections and you can begin at any one, by clicking  on the icon for the section on the main introductory page. There is a multiple choice quiz at the end.

UI English 101-102 students:
You should go through the whole tutorial and answer the questions on the quiz. After completing and sending the quiz,  print out the feedback page to turn in to your instructor. The quiz results will also be emailed to a database for tabulation and verification.

If you don't finish the tutorial in one sitting, you can come back and start where you left off either by bookmarking the page you are on or clicking on the icon for the beginning of that section. Remember that if you bookmark a page within the tutorial, it may not have a name that makes a lot of sense later on, so it might be a good idea to jot down a note of what the bookmark entry is called. (For example, the seventh page in section three is named "s307", and that is what will show up in your list of bookmarks or favorites.)

Be sure to read all screens and instructions carefully.  On some computers, you may have to scroll down to the bottom of the screen to see all the information. There is a footer like the one at the bottom of this page on every page of the tutorial. If you do not see the footer, then you need to scroll down. You will be asked to read information and answer different kinds of questions throughout the tutorial. Sometimes you will click buttons or images to answer a question or get a response and other times you will click on text.
