Roosevelt shielding his eyes - Theodore Roosevelt 1911 University of Idaho visit

On April 9th through 11th, 1911, President Theodore "Teddy" Roosevelt visited the University of Idaho. While here he gave a speech praising Idaho citizens and the University's motto of "training of Idaho's future citizens to their highest usefullness in private life and public service." A tree was planted in Administration Lawn in his honor and still stands today.
