Happy Holidays from the University of Idaho
Please note: this is an archived email message and may not display as originally intended. Some images, links, and functionality may be broken or out of date.
Mary Beth and I are delighted to wish you happy holidays. Whether you are in Idaho or elsewhere, thank you for being a part of the Vandal family. I hope you will enjoy the harmony of our Vandaleers, who have been singing our Alma Mater since 1930. Please share this video with family and friends — we can all look ahead to a great future for the best university in Idaho, winning our way to fame.
A Season of Giving
Many of our alumni and friends choose to make their gifts to the university during this season of giving and before the end of the calendar year. And many times alumni choose to invest in our students — students like Olivia Dowling.
Olivia Dowling ‘16, embodies the energy, curiosity, and determination of University of Idaho students. In high school Olivia had a passion for forging relationships with everyone around her, and she has always been drawn to good advertising with a powerful message.
Olivia combined her love of people with her passion for persuasive communication by choosing to study advertising, one of the many degrees offered in The University of Idaho School of Journalism and Mass Media (JAMM).
Olivia is a first generation college student from Alaska and going to school so far away from home created many challenges, but UI instantly felt like home and she has loved her time here. Her JAMM professors inspire her to succeed by requiring excellence in all things.
Like many students, she works full time during the summers and work a couple of part time jobs during the school year to help pay her tuition, books and room and board, but she would not be here without donor support of student scholarships and programs.
You can help to make experiences like this possible for students like Olivia. Each time you give, you make someone's dream of a University of Idaho degree a reality.
As we wrap up the fall semester and greet the holiday season, please consider the University of Idaho in your year-end giving.
