University of Idaho Library Conducting LibQual+ Survey of User Satisfaction

During the spring semester of 2009, the University of Idaho Library will be conducting the LibQual+ online survey of user satisfaction. This survey is the only nationally normed library survey of its kind. Over 1,000 libraries have used this survey instrument to gauge user satisfaction in the nearly ten years since it was launched by the Association of Research Libraries.

This is the second time the University of Idaho Library has conducted LibQual+ survey.  The 2004 survey provided important assessment information and we were able to make many substantial changes to improve our services, including increasing access to and awareness of our electronic journals, books and databases. By offering the survey again in 2009, we hope to gauge our progress in meeting certain goals and find new ways in which we can better serve our library users.

We have selected a sizable sample from the University of Idaho community, and over the course of this semester we will be sending emails to encourage selected individuals to participate. Participants will be given the opportunity to enter a drawing for prizes such as a Nintendo Wii or an iPod Shuffle.
