University of Idaho Library Research Colloquium to feature Shakespeare research and the Theatre Department's production of "Twelfth Night"

The Twelfth NightThe University of Idaho Library Research Colloquium series will present “Twelve Nights in the Library: What Do You Need to Know When Mounting a Theater Production?” on Tuesday, April 16 at 1:00 p.m. on library’s main floor.

The presentation coincides with the two-week run of Williams Shakespeare’s “Twelfth Night,” April 18-28 in the Hartung Theater on the U-Idaho campus.

Presenters Chris DuVal, “Twelfth Night” director and assistant professor in the Department of Theatre Arts, and Rochelle Smith, reference librarian, will discuss the value of the library’s resources in preparing for this and other productions of Shakespeare’s plays. The pair will investigate how research can illuminate the world of the play and the psychology of its characters, looking at the era, costumes, sets, props, stage combat and weapons, and previous productions.

The University of Idaho Library Research Colloquium series was established to bring librarians and faculty researchers together to discuss a common research interest.
