Intro to ArcGIS Online set for Fri., April 18

Would you like to learn about free applications and maps to further your teaching and research? Join us in the library on Friday, April 18 (Room 212A) at noon when Bruce Godfrey, GIS Librarian, presents “Introduction to ArcGIS Online.” The presentation is the first in a series highlighting resources available to students, faculty and staff under the University of Idaho’s GIS higher education site license.

ArcGIS Online, a cloud-based platform that supports all levels of GIS user, is a newer technology for using and sharing geographic information. “Introduction to ArcGIS Online” will include information on how to use layers and tools, publish data as web layers, collaborate on projects, access maps from any device, and create maps with Microsoft Excel data. Faculty and students across all disciplines are invited to attend. Contact Bruce Godfrey with questions at bgodfrey@uidaho.edu.
