Mt Idaho Feb 9th 1892

Kate dear Sister
I did not understand the package until your letter came today. The package came clearly addressed to me – I thought it was from Mary tho wondered at the color & Mary’s name inside. I send the package back to you at once. You did not say what to do with it. As it has been delayed so long you may want to have it made in Lewiston if you wish it in time for Presbytery (1st Thursday in April).

I wish you would find out and tell me how much it would cost to go by boat & cars or stage & cars to Waitsburg instead of by horse. (The horse is almost as much expense as the person.) I hope their checks will come to them before they start instead of my having to draw on my own money for their expenses on the way to Pres - i.e. Roberts & the Licentiates even if the money is refunded to me. There is no need for the delay in paying them. I paid Parsons today 50 cents for the wood for you. You He said it was enough. You can pay me all in postage stamps. I need so many stamps for my pupils.

I enclose my Report all that is needed. I think

You know I took Charlotte Axtell & her husband Stephen Axtell after Joels death. Dear little Agatha. Poor June I know her heart is nearly broken. I pray God He will spare us any more of the dreadful Grippe if it please Him.

I am writing this at night to send with the package and dare not write much for my eyes. When do you send in the Reports? Don’t you think it is best to send in simply ‘salary for minister at Wellpinet church’ ‘Spokan River church’&c until we see what is to be done. That will leave the Spokan churches open. Of course the money will not be drawn if not needed.

But, I must not write more now I suppose you will send in the same Estimates as last year for Robert, Enoch, Peter, William & James Hayes. Archie, Silas & James Hines are not on the list.

Write to me often. Tell me everything Good night. May God guide you in everything by His Spirit & His wisdom – prays

Sister Sue
