The photocopies of the Fort Hall account books were donated to the University of Idaho Library by Charles E. Simpson of Pocatello, Idaho, in May 1990. They were processed by Judith Nielsen in February 1993.
The 1834-1838 financial journal and ledgers of Fort Hall were copied from Oregon Historical Society microfilm R-578, and the material is copyrighted by them. Permission to publish excerpts must be obtained in writing from the Society. The copies in this record group are contained in three loose leaf binders. The third binder also contains a section with papers relating to Nathaniel Jarvis Wyeth encompassing the years 1834-1899.
