Search Article Databases- Annual Review of Anthropology
Annual Reviews synthesize the vast amount of primary research literature and identify the principal contributions in 37 discliplines. Annual Review of Anthropology overs significant developments in the subfields of Anthropology, including Archaeology, Biological Anthropology, Linguistics and Communicative Practices, Regional Studies and International Anthropology, and Sociocultural Anthropology. - Dissertations and Theses
The database includes citations for materials ranging from the first U.S. dissertation, accepted in 1861, to those accepted as recently as last semester; those published from 1980 forward also include 350-word abstracts, written by the author. Citations for master's theses from 1988 forward include 150-word abstracts. Access the citations and abstracts of all University of Idaho dissertations and theses, as well as the full text in PDF format, when available. - eHRAF World Cultures
The Human Relations Area Files (HRAF) includes thousands of books and articles on cultures and ethnic groups worldwide (1949-present). An online tutorial on how to use eHRAF is available here. - JSTOR
Complete image backfiles for over 1500 titles in the humanities, social sciences, and sciences. The UI subscription includes all JSTOR titles with the exception of the Ireland Collection and 19th Century British Pamphlets. With a few exceptions, JSTOR titles do not include current issues. There’s a ’moving wall’ of 3-5 years, depending on title, for which the latest issues are not available. - Project Muse

Many of the citations in both indexes contain abstracts and some will also contain a link to the full-text of the article. - Sociological Abstracts
CSA Sociological Abstracts abstracts and indexes the international literature in sociology and related disciplines in the social and behavioral sciences. The database provides abstracts of journal articles and citations to book reviews drawn from over 1,800+ serials publications, and also provides abstracts of books, book chapters, dissertations, and conference papers.
