Articles
Articles are generally more specific; use more specific keywords to create a narrower search.
Journals may contain both popular and scholarly sources (magazine, journal, and newspaper articles)
Search Article Databases
- MathSciNet
Online reviews and citations to the world’s research literature in mathematics and statistics.
- Web of Science
A good starting point for finding scientific articles in major journals from a wide range of scientific disciplines, including statistics. This database can also be used to identify articles that cite a particular author or article.
- JSTOR
Backfiles for over 1500 titles in the humanities, social sciences, and sciences, including many statistics journals. Most JSTOR titles do not include current issues. There’s a ’moving wall’ of 3-5 years, depending on the title, for which the latest issues are not available.
- arXiv.org
Open access to more than 600,000 e-prints in mathematics, statistics, physics, computer science, quantitative biology, and quantitative finance.
- Project Euclid
Provides online access to a number of independent and society journals in the fields of theoretical and applied mathematics and statistics.
- Dissertations and Theses
The most comprehensive collection of dissertations and theses in the world. Access the citations and abstracts of University of Idaho dissertations and theses, as well as the full text in PDF format, when available.
