Already have a VandalCard?

Your Vandal Card is also your Library Card! The barcode number on your Vandal Card lets you access library online materials from anywhere in the world.

You can activate your barcode number with the library online at Vandal Card Library Registration (please allow 24-hours for online registration). Or call 208-885-6559 to register by phone.

Don't have a VandalCard?

No problem — we'll create a library barcode number for you. Just call 208-885-6559 to request a number. Or register online at Request a Library Number. (Please allow 24-hours for an online request).

Electronic Resources

To use library databases from off-campus, you'll be asked for your library barcode number and your last name. Just enter this information at the prompt.

Request Materials

To request books from our library or to use Interlibrary Loan to request books and articles we don't have, you'll also need your library barcode number.  Visit the Distance Education page for more information.

Log-in Bookmarklet

The log-in bookmarklet allows you to log in through the library from wherever you are on the internet without leaving that page.

Installation for web browsers (not mobile)

1. Add the following link to your bookmarks: UIdaho Library Log-in Bookmarklet
   
   

   To do this:	Drag the link your bookmarks
   	or Right-click the link and bookmark it
   	or Right-click and add to Favorites (for Internet Explorer)

2. Try it out. From off-campus, go to this article's website, then click on the UIdaho Library Log-in bookmarklet.
3. Enter your Vandal Card barcode and last name, then click Submit. You should return to the page with access to the article!

Installation for the iPad

1. Bookmark this page
2. Edit the new bookmark with a title of your choosing and add the following text as the URL:

3. Try it out. Using an off-campus network, go to this article's website, then click on your new bookmark.
4. Enter your Vandal Card barcode and last name, then click Submit. You should return to the page with access to the article!

Problems?

• If you see an error message, it may be a website we have not enabled through our authentication server.
• If it works but you still do not have access to the article, it may not be one to which the University of Idaho currently subscribes.
