Description:
A socio-economic study of Owyhee County was completed in 1998-1999 (Rimbey, et al. 1999; Harp and Rimbey 1999; Darden, et al. 1999), and information derived in that analysis was used in the Owyhee Resource Area Draft Resource Management Plan (ORMP). The county level economic impact analysis of the earlier study answered many questions about the economic structure of Owyhee County and potential economic impacts resulting from changing public land forage allocations.
