Photo of graves of soldiers and civilians killed in the Nez Perce Indian War. Secured by R.H. Fletcher from Aaron F. Parker, Grangeville, Idaho.' Inscription read: Monday, Healy, and J. Grosceose (Groseclose) Killed Aug. 20 1878. A set of cross rifles are dawn above the inscription. A roadside marker maintained by the Idaho State Historical Society, under the title “Long Valley Ambush,” details the episode.
