Photo text: Photo text: 'Cabin on claim of Geo.W. Spencer, in Sec. 35, T. 45N., R. 2E. Located March 23, 1902. Photo October 31, 1905. at time of location the claimant was an invalid and died at St. Maries, Idaho, about October 5, 1905, up to which time his wife, afterwards a claimant as a widow of original claimant, had never been on the land. No record of ultimate outcome of this case.' Note: Marble Creek region homesteads at this time were often part of a homesteads fraud being documented by the US Forest Service.
