Photo October 31, 1905. at time of location the claimant was an invalid and died at St. Maries, Idaho, about October 5, 1905, up to which time his wife, afterwards a claimant as a widow of original claimant, had never been on the land. No record of ultimate outcome of this case.' Note: Marble Creek region homesteads at this time were often part of a homesteads fraud being documented by the US Forest Service.
