Photo text: 'Coeur d'Alene's municipal yacht basin - one of the few such city-owned facilities in the west. Undertaken as a WPA project the yacht basin has an initial unit of 60 moorage slips. An attendant is on duty 24 hours daily. A modern boat lift or hoist, with electric motor, boom and canvas belting slings, permits pf raising or lowering a boat to [the lake] in a few minutes. There is enough additional room in the yacht basin, behind the breakwater, for another 350 to 400 boats. Project cost WPA $8,040 and sponsors $3,640.'
