- Typewritten letter where Crabtree wrote back to Akerman to inform him that in the last year he had an unspecified amount of surgeries (three of which were done with obsidian blades). He thanked him for the tools Akerman sent him and gave him some advice on controlling his folsom point experiments better. On the back of the letter he adds a PS that Dick Gould is in Cambridge working on a book and is learning from blademakers making gunflints.
