Typewritten letter from Rob Bonnichsen where he said that the fossil vertebrae they had found was burned, but they had been unable to identify it. The team wanted to survey the site and invited Crabtree to join them, as well as ask if he would get permission from Jones to survey his property. He said the tooth was from the lower jaw of the mammoth, probably the fifth of a series of six teeth.
