Description:
Four years after fertilizer treatments were applied, the average gross rf volume per acre increased 13% on those plots receiving 200 lb. nitrogen (N) acre and 10% on those plots receiving 200 lb. N acre plus 200 lb. potassium (K) acre. Absolute and relative gross and net volume response show similar treatment effects. The addition of K in the fertilizer mix did not directly increase volume growth over the controls, but K did decrease mortality. In addition, results from this study show that K significantly increased tree height growth.
