Description:
Flier promoting the SITE program: Students Investigating Today' s Environment (SITE) encompasses an alliance of secondary schools, universities, governmental agencies, private industry, and communities dedicated to providing students with unique educational avenues for learning. SITE was developed by teachers, scientists, and administrators to help our youth become more involved in science, math, and technology. This project rekindles the spirit of discovery by providing an opportunity for students to experience firsthand the excitement of real world science. Students take to the field to gather information, test, and analyze various conditions in their environment. Activities energize students to explore ideas, share information by entering and retrieving data in the SITE computer system, and collaborate on possible solutions to watershed concerns.
