Abstract: The University Interdisciplinary Colloquium (UIC) began as the "Tools R Us" Humanities Fellows Lecture Series in the fall of 2000. An important influence in the early years of the series was Dr. Malcolm M. Renfrew, both as a mentor to the directors and as an audience constant. This Tuesday, the UIC will be renamed in Dr. Renfrew's honor as part of the celebration of his 100th birthday. Dr. Jean’ne Shreeve, Professor of Chemistry, will speak about Renfrew’s career and contributions. Those who attend will have an opportunity to speak with Dr. Renfrew in conversation following Dr. Shreeve's presentation.
