- The Idaho Climate-Economy Impacts Assessment, released in December 2021, connects the latest scientific research on Idaho’s changing climate with economic risks and opportunities affecting businesses, residents, and local and state economies. It was compiled by researchers and subject matter experts representing Idaho universities and colleges, businesses, nonprofits, and tribal and other governments. This presentation uses a lightning-talk format to present findings in five key areas: human health, agriculture, fish, rangelands, and recreation/tourism. The panel is moderated by Katherine Himes, director of the McClure Center for Public Policy Research. Presenters are: Helen Brown, College of Education, Health and Human Sciences; Christopher Caudill, Department of Fish and Wildlife Sciences; Patrick Hatzenbuehler, Department of Agricultural Economics and Rural Sociology; Eric Winford, Idaho Rangeland Center, and Kelsea Donahue, a third-year student in the College of Law.
