- Organized October 12, 1884, with 13 charter members. First church was built in 1888 at the northwest corner of Second and Van Buren streets, at 420 E 2nd St. Entrance and bell tower were added at a later date. Church was moved to Third Street in 1905, and a larger one was built to replace it.
