- Washburn's Farm Store opened for business as a Purina franchise store with Clifford M. Ott as manager. Feed processing equipment consisted of a dry or steam roller, hammermill, batch mixer, molasses mixer and a pellet mill. Any type of feed could be processed for the dairymen, cattlemen, hog raisers and poultrymen. Barley cleaning and pearling equipment was located in the building opposite the feed store.
