Description:
Pea processing plant in 1960. Located on the Troy Highway at the south end of Washington Street. 1- Flat house built in 1948 for storing sacked peas, 2- Cribbed bin elevator purchased from Kenneth Anderson in fall of 1945, 3- New headhouse with two elevators built in 1946, 4- New hand picking room with capacity of 50 individual picking machines for women built in 1946, 5- Two new elevators and dump pit area built in 1946. With four elevators different [peas] could be received without mixture.
