- Looking west from the Spalding cemetery at the Almota grain elevators and the barge-loading docks. Old ferry crossing was beyond the elevators across the river to the shore near the trees. Arrow points to the location of Ilia about four miles downriver. Mrs. Ott and I were taking pictures of the grave markers when this picture was taken June 26, 1974.
