The "Nat" (Natatorium) located on the north side of Sixth Street between Almon and Asbury streets was the Safford Apple Packing Plant in the early 1900s. Nathaniel Williamson of the famed Williamson Store operated a creamery in the building before remodeling it into a natatorium. This was a popular place during the 1920s. It was then remodeled and occupied for many years by the Inland Motor Freight. Then remodeled in 1977 by Kenworthy into a restaurant and lounge. The Natatorium Building at the right [90-2-146] originally was the Safford Apple Packing Plant until the production of apples in the area went out in the early 1900s. Nathaniel Williamson of the famed Williamson Store operated a creamery in the building before remodeling into a natatorium.
