Hay Barn Item Info
- Title:
- Hay Barn
- Description:
- Built in the August of 1985 by Jim Akenson and crew. A lot more went into the building of this hay barn than what meets the eye. Corner and wall posts were floated down Big Creek and then lifted out of the water by a pulley system. A mule team and stoneboat sled were used to move them to the building site. The site was on an old junkyard which had to be cleaned up along with removing the 400 pound boulders in the area. The rest of the building materials were flown in via three trips from Moscow.
