The body of Arnold Asvald, killed in France, was buried in Deary after the war. This contingent of veterans from Deary and Bovill formed the honor guard at the funeral. The officer (rear) is Henry Black. Ensign Gallegher marches ahead of him. Byers Sanderson is in the rear rank, second from the right. Leo Guilfoy also represented Bovill.
