Jazz in the Schools Program to Visit 22 Area Elementary Schools

February 16, 1999^^MEDIA CONTACT: Jeff Olson, University Communications and Marketing, (208) 885-8934 or e-mail to jolson@uidaho.edu STORY CONTACT: Lynn Skinner, Jazz Festival director, (208) 885-6765 or e-mail to jazzdoc@uidaho.edu^^Area elementary school students will get a taste of jazz, as musicians appearing at this year's University of Idaho Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival take their jazz show on the road.^^The festival's Jazz in the Schools program, now in its fourth year, will make stops at elementary schools in Lewiston, Clarkston, Pullman, Moscow, Genesee, Lapwai and Spokane. In addition, the jazz road show will make first-time visits to Palouse Elementary School in Palouse, Wash., and Lewiston's St. Stanislaus and Holy Family Elementary Schools.
