Meridian Veterinarian Remembered with UI Memorial Scholarship

March 13, 2000^^Contact: Katie Kerby, University of Idaho Boise Center, (208) 364-4030, kkerby@uidaho.edu.^Dr. Dennis Dixon, a prominent Meridian veterinarian who died in a car accident earlier this year, will be remembered by friends and family with the establishment of the Dennis Dixon Memorial Scholarship Endowment at the University of Idaho.^^The scholarship will be awarded to a graduating high school senior in the Meridian School District, or from the Idaho Falls or Treasure Valley areas, planning to pursue a career in veterinary medicine.^^Dixon often spoke to students of all ages and assisted 4-H and FFA youth with their animal projects. His commitment to veterinary medicine and dedication to the education of young people inspired the creation of this scholarship fund.^^Contributions may be made to the Dennis Dixon Memorial Scholarship Endowment by sending a check to University of Idaho Foundation, Advancement Services, University of Idaho, Moscow, ID 83844-3147.^^-30- kk—3/13/00 UAD^
