“Missa Africa” CD is Offered by UI Jazz Choir

May 29, 2002^A compact disc recording of the more than 200 voice University of Idaho Jazz Choir I is now available. “Missa Africa” contains 70 minutes of popular music, as well as original compositions, including the title track, arranged by the choir’s director Dan Bukvich. Jazz Choir I is composed of UI students representing all departments and schools on campus. ^The CD was digitally recorded, mastered and produced at the University of Idaho Studios and may be purchased for $14.95 at the UI Bookstore or online at www.uidahobookstore.com. ^“Missa Africa” is a joint project of the Lionel Hampton School of Music, UI Events Services and the University of Idaho Studios. The project raps up three years of collaborations between the Lionel Hampton School of Music and the newly founded University of Idaho Studios.^The recording studio offers the latest in digital recording and post production equipment, and a staff ready to work on audio projects. The studio is currently working on two new CDs.
