Tuesday, September 9 1997
This year, 15 Idaho students are entering the WAMI (Washington, Wyoming, Alaska, Montana and Idaho) medical education program. ^^The students will spend their first year studying basic medical subjects on the University of Idaho campus. They will move on to the University of Washington campus next year and take classes there until their education is complete. ^^According to Mike Laskowski, director of the UI portion of the program, students who complete their first year on outlying campuses in the participating states do very well when they reach the main campus in Seattle.
