UI Senior Emily Davis Serves on International Advancement Board

July 18, 2005 MOSCOW, Idaho – University of Idaho senior Emily Davis from Boise will serve as the District Eight representative for the Association of Student Advancement Programs. She will serve on the international ASAP board from 2005-07. ASAP is the student organization under the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE), which oversees the coordination of alumni, communications and development professionals. ASAP coordinates efforts on college and university campuses that support student organizations in the areas of student alumni, student foundations, recruitment and spirit groups. Davis began her term in May replacing UI alumnus Matt Henman of Kuna, who served in 2004-05. She will attend her first meeting in Boston, Mass. July 25-27. She also will attend the ASAP Network Convention with 14 other UI students, in addition to two program advisers. UI’s ASAP advisers are Tim Helmke and Kristy Mayer. District Eight includes Idaho, Washington, Montana, Oregon, Alaska and the western territories and provinces of Canada.
