University of Idaho Events for March 19-25

March 9, 2007 MOSCOW, Idaho – The following is a list of University of Idaho-sponsored events for the week of March 19-25. Events will take place in Moscow and are free and open to the public unless otherwise noted. Monday, March 19 Guest Recital 8 p.m. Lionel Hampton School of Music Recital Hall Performance by Lydia Welhan on the piano. Tickets cost $5 for adults, $3 for students and seniors and are available at the door. Proceeds go to the music scholarship fund. Tuesday, March 20 Women’s Center Film Series 5 p.m. “Gamma Alpha Omega Stroll Competition.” Refreshments provided. For more information, call the Women’s Center at (208) 885-6616. Auditorium Chamber Music Series 7:30 p.m. University Auditorium in the Administration Building Performance by Eighth Blackbird. Tickets cost $18 for general admission, $15 for seniors, $8 for students and are available at Book People of Moscow, at www.auditoriumchambermusic.org or at the door. For more information, call (208) 885-7557. Thursday, March 22 Taylor Swift Concert 7 p.m. Student Union Building Ballroom Clumsy Lovers opens for the up-and-coming star. Tickets cost $15 general admission, $5 University of Idaho undergraduates and are available at the Student Union Building information desk (208) 885-4636. Dancers Drummers Dreamers March 22-24 7:30 p.m. with matinee performance at 2 p.m. on Saturday March, 24 Hartung Theater Titled “fun-e-motion.” Tickets cost $8 for youth and college students, $9 for senior citizens and $11 for adults and are available at the University of Idaho Ticket Office in the Kibbie-ASUI Activity Center, or by calling (208) 885-7212. Tickets also will be on sale at the Hartung Theatre Box Office immediately preceding each show if it has not sold out in advance. Friday, March 23 Blockbuster Film Series 7, 9:30 p.m. Student Union Building Borah Theater “Marie Antoinette.” Tickets cost $3 general admission, $2 undergraduate students with Vandal ID. Saturday, March 24 Step and Stroll Competition 6 p.m. Student Union Building Ballroom Sponsored by the University of Idaho Women’s Center. Multicultural Greek Organizations from throughout the Northwest perform rhythmic dances and traditional stepping and strolling. Tickets cost $7 and are available at the Women’s Center, Memorial Gym Room 109 or at TicketsWest outlets. Blockbuster Film Series 7, 9:30 p.m. Student Union Building Borah Theater “Marie Antoinette.” Tickets cost $3 general admission, $2 undergraduate students with Vandal ID.
