The Black History at the University of Idaho project has led to the publishing of two, open-access e-books.

The first, The Seminal History and Prospective Future of Blacks at the University of Idaho, was published in 2023. Written by Brody Gasper and Sydney Freeman Jr., it examines the history of Black faculty, staff, and students at the U of I.

The second, Workbook: The Seminal History and Prospective Future of Blacks at the University of Idaho, uses the former book to create an interactive course curriculumn that readers can engage with to learn about and test their knowledge on Black history at the U of I. It was written by Annabelle L. Lyne and Dr. Sydney Freeman, Jr.

Both books are freely available via the University of Idaho Library's Pressbooks Catalog of Open E-Books.
