Description:
Due to lack of proper transportation equipment, difficulty was encountered in taking the R-1 rotor shaft across the spillway roadway of the dam. In order to distribute the load safely, it was necessary for this truck boom to hook onto the trailer and take some of the weight off the wheels of the trailer. (See photos 17601 and 17602-3).
