Japanese Eras
Most items cannot be precisely dated but fall into broad periods that reflect stylistic trends and technological change within the Japanese ceramics industry. This visualization assigns HJCCC objects to likely manufacture eras based on decorative elements, marks, or manufacture/decoration method. Objects with longer periods of manufacture or popularity appear in multiple eras.
