Description:
This report deals with the first phase of an economic study conducted on the Upper Snake River Basin. The objective of this phase is to determine the optimum economic combination of the scarce resources available with respect to the price the farmers can afford to pay for pumped irrigation water from a ground water source. The research upon which this report is based was supported by the Idaho State Reclamation Department. The project is continuing with support from the Idaho Reclamation Department and the United States Department of the Interior as authorized under the Water Resources Act of 1964, Public Law 88-379. The project is sponsored by the Water Resources Research Institute, University of Idaho, Moscow, Idaho.
