Description:
Postcard of the Pittock Mansion in Portland, Oregon. | Pittock Mansion, Portland, Oregon. This beautiful mansion was built in 1909 by one of Portland's most prominent citizens. Situated in the west hills with a panoramic view of the city, it is one of Portland's most interesting sights. Now a part of the City's park system, it has been fully restored to its former elegance. Completely modern with such innovations as a central vacuum cleaner system - elevators - thermosats in individual rooms and indirect lighting made it a marvel in its day.
