The second edition of our newsletter “Livingstone Camp News” was distributed today. The mimeographed newsletter has six pages, and the elderly would need a magnifying glass to read it. It resembles a newsletter distributed in a middle school, and the contents could use more organization. Dancer Mr. Michio Ito is the chief editor. It is interesting to see that we have a number of professional reporters, but they are not involved in it. It is reported that 170 family members were transferred to the mainland from Hawaii on the first boat in November, 1942, and 443 people were transported in the second boat and detained in Jerome in Arkansas State in January this year in the newsletter. It is also reported that families from Hawaii scheduled to go back to Japan on August 30 are in Grove Park Inn in North Carolina, and another 40 families have been transferred to an assembly center in Montreal.
