Several CCC men participate in a National Defense training in the woods. The training is given by the McCall Radio School and the U.S. Office of Education, near Camp Lake Fork, Company 2939. Writing above photo reads: 'Camp Lake Fork Company #2939, McCall, Idaho July, 1941. National Defense Training - McCall Radio School - The radio instructor of the McCall radio school, McCall Idaho, has a group of CCC enrollees out in the nearby forest demonstrating how to unpack, set up, and operate a Forest Service SPF radio set. This is but one of the many features stressed in an intensive six month radio training course sponsored by the U.S. Forest Service.
