Columbia Basin Project, Irrigation Division, Long Lake Headworks, Specs. 2324. View of the Headworks structure taken from the left canal bank opposite station 755+00 looking upstream and showing start of backfill work behind the outlet warp transition. Backfill material is loaded into trucks by the crane in the background and hauled to the point where the truck is unloading. The dirt is spread in place by hand and compacted with air-tampers. The white floor slab at the left of the picture was placed on March 27, 1950. Work is being performed by George B. Henly Construction So., Inc. under Schedule I of above specifications. H.E.
