Description:
Three types of duff hygrometers, for measuring the moisture content, hence inflammability, of dead leaves, twigs, etc., covering the forest floor. There was no instrument for this purpose before fire research and the Forest Products produced this device. The pencil points to a piece of rattan which is the actuating element.
