Caption titled: "Margaret and Jennie in 7-passenger Studebaker. (Note Jennie's feather hat) This is the car that lost the front wheel when we drove to Coolin to escape the forest fire." The fire was probably the Highlanding fire of 1922; there was mention of the fire, the drive to Coolin, and losing the front wheel of the car in the recollections of Margaret's experience at Priest River Experimental Station. Her account has been scanned and filed in the Priest Creek Experimental Forest archive, under the subdirectory General.
